Fluorescent Equipment

      The large units are 4x4x24" in size and are available in various combinations of single and multiple wave lamps from 35 watt, 60 watt, 95 watt, and 190 watt.

      The smaller units are 6x8x3" with a 2.5" handle.  It is available in long wave, mid wave, short wave, and combinations of the three.  All are available in 9 watt and 18 watt versions for both AC and DC.

      Both the large and small ultraviolet lights are manufactured by Way Too Cool.  Most ultraviolet lights start out very strong and taper off evenly throughout their life.  Way Too Cool lights start out slightly less strong than some lights, but have a much longer and even mid-life than other fluorescent black lights giving you more consistent lighting than you would get with lights made by other manufacturers.  All the photos of fluorescent minerals displayed on this site used the small 9 watt combination unit for lighting and were photograped using a Canon Rebel digital camera on a tripod.
