This copal specimen from Madagascar contains at least three dozen insects and possibly two very small spiders along with miscellaneous insect parts (from the ones that got away). They are represented by the Class: Arachnida (spiders), and the Class: Insecta (insects) and Orders: Coleoptera (beetles), Diptera (flies, gnats, midges), Hymenoptera (ants).

The spiders may be located by positioning the specimen with the two beetles close together to the left and the single beetle to the right. One small spider is located about one half inch to the left and in front of the single beetle (lower middle of the photo below). The other small spider is located about a quarter inch to the left of the leftmost of the pair of beetles. The pair of beetles at the left of the specimen should also be at the top of the specimen in order to locate the small spiders.

Critters from the Class Arachnida (spiders) have eight legs while those from the Class Insecta (insects) have six legs.
