This copal specimen from Madagascar contains at least five insects and possibly one very small spider along with miscellaneous insect parts. They are represented by the Class: Arachnida (spiders), and the Class: Insecta (insects) and Orders: Diptera (flies, gnats, midges), Hymenoptera (ants).
This is a very nice fly. You can see the large red compound eyes and long body hairs.
The spider may be located by positioning the specimen with the large fly to the right, with the underside up (as you see the specimen in photo number one). The small spider is located at the lower left of the specimen.
Critters from the Class Arachnida (spiders) have eight legs while those from the Class Insecta (insects) have six legs.
