The minerals in the specimen are calcite and chalcedony from Crawford, Nebraska.
The first image was taken under a short wave ultraviolet light. The calcite fluoresces a pink-red and the chalcedony fluoresces green under short wave ultraviolet light. Any blue to purple color under short wave is due to the light reflecting off the light colored minerals in the specimen.
The second image below was taken under long wave ultraviolet light. The purple to blue color under long wave light is due to reflection of the light off the light colored minerals in the specimen and not due to fluorescence. Occasionally there will be a white fluorescence from some of the calcite.
