Crodocilus spenceri grew to lengths of 25-40 feet, with a skull length of 4-5 feet, and weighed 5-10 tons. They were salt water reptiles which also ventured into marshes, lakes, and rivers along the coasts. Their prey may have included young or small dinosaurs. They lived primarily during the Late Cretaceous (75-65 million years ago).
The near extinct Indian Charial is the last remaining descendant of the Cretaceous Crododilia.
