These shark teeth are from the phospate pits in Morocco.
Shark teeth are identified by their shape and varying characteristics of each species. Paranomotodon (thresher shark) teeth are easier to identify than most of the other teeth because they have one small blade cusp (the little teeth to the side of the main tooth) on either side of the main tooth. The main tooth is shorter than those of Carcharias sp. B., Scapanorhynchus. or Stritolamna and it will frequently lean to one side or the other. The lean of the tooth will usually be towards the back of the mouth. So, it will indicate whether it is a left or right tooth and larger teeth are usually found as upper teeth. But larger teeth also indicate a larger shark.
These shark teeth are sold in lots of 100 pieces for $50.00.
