The fluorescent minerals in the specimen are calcite and chalcedony from Glendo, Wyoming.
The first image was taken under a short wave ultraviolet light. The calcite fluoresces a red-orange. The chalcedony fluoresces a bright green. Any purple areas are the reflection of the short wave light off the normally white to light tan non-fluorescing minerals of the specimen.
The second image below was taken under long wave ultraviolet light. The calcite will fluoresce a pale yellow-orange under long wave ultraviolet light. Some of the chalcedony will also fluoresce green under long wave UV light, but is not as bright as under short wave UV light. The shades of purple color are due to the long wave light reflecting off the light colored minerals in the specimen.
