The specimen is a man made glass known by several names. It is called Depression Glass, vasaline glass or uranium glass. The last name is due to the fact that trace amounts of uranium are used to give it its color and make it glow. It is probably this glass which was used to make the Kryptonite crystal for the Superman movies.
The first image was taken under a long wave light. There is a strong green fluorescent glow to the specimen.
The second image below was taken under short wave ultraviolet light. It has a more electric shade of green than the first image.
