Otodus obliquus is a species of extinct Mackerel shark which lived during the Paleocene through Eocenc (65-45 million years ago). This shark is known by its large teeth (up to four inches), with smooth cutting edges and large side cusps.
It was a large predatory shark which grew to an estimated length of about 30 feet. Remains of this species have been found in Africa, Asia, Europe, and North America.
