This copal specimen from Madagascar contains at least five insects and possibly one very small spider along with miscellaneous insect parts (from the ones that got away) and other incomplete insects. They are represented by the Class: Arachnida (spiders), and the Class: Insecta (insects) and Orders: Diptera (flies, gnats, midges).
This is a very nice fly. You can see the large red compound eyes and long body hairs.
The spider may be located by positioning the specimen with the large fly facing right, with the topside up. The small spider is located behind the fly, about 3/8 of an inch.
Critters from the Class Arachnida (spiders) have eight legs while those from the Class Insecta (insects) have six legs.
