The specimen is hemimorphite on smithsonite from the San Antonio El Grande Mine, Chihuahua, Mexico.
The first photo show the specimen being exposed under a short wave ultraviolet light which turns the hemimorphite green. The smithsonite in this specimen does not fluoresce when exposed to ultraviolet light. The image below was taken under long wave ultraviolet light. The light blue here is not fluorescence. It is the light reflecting off the white crystals in the specimen.
To see the specimen under normal lighting conditions return to the Mexico fluorescents or the Fluorescent minerals section and click on the page link "To view fluorescent material from Mexico."
